Saint C’s Young Adult Ministry is for parishioners between the ages of 20-40 looking to explore their faith while meeting new people and building community. Our group events fall into three areas: Christian service, spirituality, and fellowship.
Theology on Tapas Thursday, September 15 I 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 pm Parish Hall
Did you know that the United States makes up only 4.4 percent of the world’s population yet we have 22% of the people on the planet living in prisons? And in last four decades, our prison population has increased by 400%!? Prisons are a big business in our country. It’s time to get educated. Join us as parishioner Peg Newman from our Prison and After Ministry speaks about the criminal justice system and how we can better share our faith with those impacted by, and in, the judicial system.
6:00-7:00 p.m.: Oktoberfest-themed food and drinks
7:00-7:30 pm Peg Newman, guest speaker
7:30-8:15 p.m. Small group discussion
8:15-9:00 p.m. Continued fellowship
If possible, we ask people to bring an art supply donation (colored pencils, classroom-sized bright acrylic paints, glitter, stencils, foam letters, markers, etc) to this event, which will be given to the residents of Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. This is a 21+ event. ID and RSVP required. Send your RSVP to email@example.com.
Racial Justice Conversation Sunday, September 18 I After 11:15 a.m. Mass Classroom 1
Saint Cecilia Young Adults invite the parish community to continue the conversation about racial justice and creating a space for discussion in our parish. We will discuss an article or watch a short video clip to get us talking about a particular topic with other parishioners. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive materials in advance needed for the conversations and discussion.
